Job Description:

Under direct oversight and in compliance with Company policies and procedures, provides support to the operation and maintenance of the Mill-Turn department.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Produces manufactured quality parts.
  2. Performs setup of Swiss turn CNC
  3. Sets up jobs in accordance with layouts provided. Processes work orders/completes the machining process.
  4. Verifies correct specification of parts by utilizing measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, depth micrometers, calipers, and other related equipment).
  5. Interfaces with inspection regarding first piece inspection. Performs in-process inspections.
  6. Maintains machine and associated work area(s) utilizing company’s 5-S and lean culture.
  7. Oversees daily work deliverables from Class B and Class C employees.
  8. Acts as a steward of the Phillips Precision brand, consistently representing and reflecting the Company’s core values, approach and high standards of excellence in all internal and external interactions.
  9. Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education:

High School Degree; or equivalent related business experience.

Experience and Expertise:

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in the medical device manufacturing field.
  • Experience in utilizing mechanical gauges, tools, and equipment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking, deductive reasoning, and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational skills, with the capability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
